Months of preparation to catch the moon behind the Seu Vella. The PhotoPills 3D model showed me the exact spot weeks before. I was already in position when the alignment happened. Exactly as predicted.

I had the location. I had the date. I didn't know exactly where to stand until I raised my phone and saw the arc land precisely over the ridge. I moved twelve meters to the left. That was the shot.

Yes. Cancel from your account in one click — no email, no call, no friction. You keep access until the end of your billing period.
What's the new mobile app, and when will it replace the current PhotoPills?
The new PhotoPills app is being rebuilt from the ground up. As a Premium Beta member you can download the beta version the day you subscribe — same login, same plans, synced with Web. The full 1.0 release is targeted for late 2026, and will replace the current PhotoPills app once it ships. Software dates move. We'll tell you when ours does.
Will the beta replace my current PhotoPills app?
No. Both apps live side by side on your phone, with separate icons. The beta is fully usable today — we use it ourselves — but it doesn't yet cover every feature the current PhotoPills app has. Until the beta matches and surpasses the current app, we keep both. The day it does, the beta becomes the new PhotoPills, and the current app retires. Nothing on your phone changes when you subscribe.
What happens when the beta ends?
Your subscription continues into the full release. Same price. Same plan. The Beta Tester badge stays with you forever.
Can I switch from monthly to annual later?
Yes — anytime, from your account. We'll prorate the difference.
Do I keep my PhotoPills app if I don't subscribe?
Yes. The PhotoPills app you already paid for stays exactly as it is. Premium Beta is a separate, optional layer.
What if the 1,000 places fill up while I'm deciding?
We close doors and open a waitlist. We'll let waitlist members in if subscriptions free up.
